Residents are thrilled to meet Celtic Manager, Brendan RodgersResidents from HC-One’s Douglas View Care Home in Hamilton, Lanarkshire were overwhelmed to meet Celtic Manager, Brendan Rodgers, as well as other Celtic Park players when they personally took an invitation to Celtic Park for the homes upcoming St Andrew’s Day event.

John Keegans and Andrew Prosser, Residents at Douglas View, went to Celtic Park with Leanne Pugh, Unit Manager at Douglas View, and Arlene Hunter, Wellbeing Coordinator, to invite players to their St Andrew’s Day celebrations.

They were thrilled that they all had the opportunity to meet Celtic Manager Brendan Rodgers and players Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and Jack Hendry.

John and Andy personally handed Brendan the invite.

HC One are thrilled to open their doors and to welcome members of the local community, family and friends to celebrate St Andrew’s Day on 30th November.

As the ‘kind care company’, we are always looking out for acts of kindness and who better to celebrate than St Andrew, who encouraged people to share what they had with those in need, to be kind and charitable and to look out for one another.

John Keegans was unable to comment, as he was so lost for words at meeting the players.

Leanne Pugh, Unit Manager at Douglas View, commented:

“Meeting Brendan Rodgers was amazing, what a gentleman!”

Arlene Hunter, Wellbeing Coordinator at Douglas View, would like to thank the Celtic Park players and Brendan for taking the time to chat to the Residents and have their photos taken before they travelled to Germany.
