Resident gardening group transforms Stirling care home gardenResidents at HC-One’s Forthbank care home in Kildean have formed a gardening group and are busy transforming the home’s garden into a beautifully landscaped and peaceful area for all to enjoy.

The constant changes in the weather had resulted in Forthbank’s garden looking a bit overgrown, the green-fingered Residents at the home have formed a gardening club and are now giving the garden the attention and care it requires.

After a day of hard work in the summer sunshine, the gardening group put up their feet and enjoyed an ice cream as they admired all of the work they had done.

Yvonne Graham, Home Manager at Forthbank said: “Hobby and interest groups like the gardening club can really give a sense of empowerment for Residents and provides a great opportunity for socialising.

“The garden looks amazing and I can’t wait to hear all of the group’s ideas for how to continue enhancing our garden area.”
