HC-One’s Springfield House Care Home in Low Fell, Gateshead, have been busy celebrating the 102nd birthday of Resident Eliza.
Born on 19th November 1916, Eliza celebrated surrounded by family, fellow Residents and the team at Springfield House with an Afternoon Tea complete with balloons, cake and coffee.
Eliza met her husband at a party in Gateshead, before going on to have three children.
She enjoys spending time with her family, including her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Eliza was full of happiness when receiving her cards, presents and cake; she celebrated with a royal wave.
When asked what her secret to a long life is, Eliza commented:
“A good diet and making sure to eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.”
