Donald Mitchell, a Resident at HC-One’s Blar Buidhe care home in Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis celebrated his 80th birthday on Monday 4th November.
Thea team at Blar Buidhe wanted to make Donald’s birthday extra special, so they organised a surprise cake with a photograph of Donald in his Royal Navy uniform on the top.
Donald was thrilled as he opened all of his and made a wish as he blew out his birthday candles. He thanked the team for their thoughtful gesture and celebrated the rest of his special day with his fellow Residents.
Donald McIntosh, Blar Buidhe Home Manager said: “I am so pleased we were able to make Donald’s birthday extra special, the smile on his face said it all.”
