Resident celebrates 105th birthday at Hull care homeNora Camp celebrated her 105th birthday at HC-One’s Kesteven Grange care home in Kingswood, Hull on Thursday 25th March.

Born and raised in Hull, Nora left school aged fifteen and joined the forces. While she never married or had any children of her own, Nora dearly loves her niece and nephew and lived a busy life doing the things she loves including, gardening, watching sports and drawing.

When asked what her secret to living a long and happy life is, Nora commented that it is love and happiness.

To celebrate her milestone birthday, Nora enjoyed a special visit from her niece, Lynne, following COVID-19 guidelines. The team wanted to make the visit extra special so they arranged a banner and balloon display outside the visitors pod and sung happy birthday as Nora and Lynne watched.

Later in the day, a party was arranged for Nora where she was joined by her fellow Residents at Kesteven Grange for some music, food and her favourite tipple. She was also showered with cards and gifts from her loved ones along with an extra special card from Her Majesty, The Queen.

Kesteven Grange Home Manager, Kellie Moore said: “What an amazing lady, it was a pleasure to help Nora celebrate her milestone birthday.”
