Mary Catterall, a Resident at HC-One’s Birch Court in Warrington celebrated her 101st birthday on Wednesday 27th February surrounded by friends and family.
Born in Widnes, Mary moved to Warrington aged four with her three sisters and two brothers. She married her husband, Richard, in 1943 and enjoyed 35 years being happily married before he sadly passed in 1978.
Mary now has three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who she loves dearly. Throughout her life, Mary has enjoyed a wide range of hobbies and interests including horse riding, which she continued into her 80s.
To celebrate her special day, friends, family, fellow Residents, members of the care team, the deputy Mayor of Warrington and representatives from the Warrington Guardian all visited Mary. Birch Court organised a party for Mary where she sang and danced the afternoon away.
