Jose, one of the Residents at HC One's Brandon House care home, celebrated a very special birthday this month.
Colleagues at the Coventry care home sent out an appeal to get Jose 100 birthday cards to help her celebrate this huge milestone.
On the morning of her birthday, Jose received a banner which had been made by St Lawrence’s Church, which is right next door to the care home, which they sent across.
Jose actually received a whopping 167 birthday cards, smashing the 100 card target! All of the cards were put up around the room, along with balloons and banners to make it extra special.
At 2pm Jose’s two nephews joined a Zoom call and sang a big happy birthday to their Auntie. Jose also had a telegram from the Queen, both of which she was delighted to receive.
Jose said “It was lovely for my nephews’ to be able to join in the day through video and help me celebrate my birthday."
