Resident at Stockport care home receives loving voicemail from daughterNorman, who is a Resident at HC One’s Appleton Manor care home, was able to hear his daughters’ voice again through a special voice recording she had sent.

Norman received a voice e-mail from his daughter Susan today which the Colleagues played out for him to listen to in a very touching moment.

Due to Relatives not being allowed within the homes at the moment due to lockdown Susan decided she wanted her dad to be able to hear her voice so sent him this to listen to whenever he wants.

The voice message said “Due to us not being able to come and see you, I thought it would be nice to send you a message.” Susan then went on to say how much she misses Norman and loves him very much, she knows that he is safe and being well looked after by the staff at Appleton Manor.

Susan also said the Lord’s Prayer for Norman to join in on, and finishes with the message “stay safe and I love you loads”.
Norman commented “That was so nice to hear”.

Sarah, wellbeing coordinator at the home said “It was a little emotional listening to Norman’s daughter, it was so lovely to be able to be a part of this”.
