Phyllis, a Resident at HC-One’s Straven House Care Home in Ilkley celebrated Her 100TH birthday with her family, friends and fellow Residents.
Phyllis has been a resident at Straven House for the past 2 years and loves nothing better than a stroll in the fresh air, although as a natural 'red head', Phyllis tells us she has to cover up during the summer months.
Phyllis lived in Bradford for nearly all her life and worked in her mother's dressmaker's shop, making all her own clothes. She still has a copy of the T&A delivered every day.
To mark the special day, Straven House put on a party for Phyllis, which was attended by family, friends, members of the care team, and fellow Residents.
The home put on a special afternoon tea where Phyllis enjoyed a lovely cake.
"Phyllis has a great sense of humour and keeps staff and Residents entertained with her quips and stories." Said Cath, Activity Co-ordinator.
