Resident at Belper care home knits for special causeHazel Jackson, a Resident at HC-One’s Bankwood care home at Belper has been knitting squares for a very special cause.

The squares Hazel has been knitting are made into blankets which are sent to Africa for young children in need. These blankets are kept by the children throughout their lives and possibly passed on to future generations.

Hazel has been knitting squares for the cause for several years now and has recently finished an additional thirty two squares which are ready to be made into a special blanket. Hazel said she loves to be to able help others by doing something she enjoys.

Izeta Hamza, Home Manager at Bankwood said:

“Hazel’s kind gesture will help those who are less fortunate. It’s lovely that she has continued to support the cause by knitting more squares.”
