Reminiscent knitting session for Residents at Hawthorn CourtResidents at HC-One’s Hawthorn Court Care Home in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear, have had a reminiscent session of knitting this week.

Residents were reminiscing with the team at Hartford Court about the old times, they touched on when their children was young and they would knit jumpers and cardigans for them.

As a result, Wellbeing Coordinator Michaela Turner decided to gather some needles and wool and the Residents for a knitting session.

In the afternoon, everyone sat in a circle and started to knit and discuss all of the memories that it brought back. The Residents thoroughly enjoyed it and having a good old chat whilst they worked.
