Remembrance service at Waterside care homeResidents at HC-One’s Waterside care home enjoyed a day of reminiscence as a service was held in honour of Remembrance Sunday.

A paragraph was read to remember the brave soldiers who fought and lost their lives in the war, with Residents and Colleagues wearing their poppies to commemorate this.

Hymns were also sung before a two minute silence was observed at 11am. Residents remarked at how emotional the morning was, and enjoyed remember the bravery of the soldiers, and the experiences they faced.

Amanda Rowley, home manager, commented: “A very emotional day has been had by all. Residents enjoyed the service held by the pastor and the hymns that they had sung.”
