Newlands Care Home in Heaton Moor will be lit up with falling poppies this Sunday when it hosts a Remembrance event to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War.
The team at Newlands Care Home are inviting the local community to join them for the special event.
On the evening, people will be able to take part in a short Remembrance service, listen to memories from residents of the Second World War and enjoy a sketch by local University of the Third Age group.
