This month at
Highclere in Milton Keynes, which provides nursing, residential and residential dementia care, Residents and Colleagues have been paying their respects for Remembrance Day.
Residents and Colleagues gathered together to pay their respects for those who had served our country in the World Wars. The majority of Residents paid their respects by joining in with the 2-minute silence at 11:00.
Many of the Residents also assisted with making a lovely poppy display for everybody to see. Paula, the homes Chef made a beautiful cake for everybody to enjoy with a cup of tea later in the afternoon.
One Resident said, “I enjoyed helping with the poppy display” whilst another said the two-minute silence is a lovely memorial.
Gigi, the Home Manager said, “It was a lovely memorial service, it was nice to see the Residents getting involved”.
