Remembrance arts and crafts at Woodside Court care homeResidents at Woodside Court, in Glenrothes, Fife have been preparing for Remembrance Sunday by taking part in some arts and crafts.

As it is nearly Remembrance Sunday, the Residents have been busy making handmade poppies in aid of Help for Heroes charity.

Alana, our Wellbeing Coordinators have been assisting the Residents in developing Remembrance boards and poems for the reception area.

The Residents had some fabulous stories about the second world war and how animals were a great asset during this time. Purple poppies have been made as a thank you for the service of the animals

Poppies have been displayed all around the home and the Residents are proud of the work they have done for such a good cause.

One Resident, commented, “It was nice to talk about all our stories from the war.”

Janet McKendrick, Care Home Manager, said, “Alana and the Residents have worked extremely hard to make these poppies and to arrange the displays throughout the home.”
