Relatives raise over £300 for Resident’s comfort fundRelatives of Sheila Watson, a Resident at HC-One’s Greenways Court Care Home in Consett, County Durham have raised over £300 for the Resident’s comfort fund.

Sheila’s daughter and granddaughters, Christine, Gracie and Demi alongside their baby cousin Charley, with their dogs in tow, walked from Greenways Court to Lanchester and back again, totalling 6 miles.

As the family members set off from Greenways Court, everyone gathered at the front of the building to cheer them off and show their appreciation, creating a lot of excitement amongst the Residents.

Betty Welford, a new Resident at Greenways Court, commented:

“What a lovely and kind thing for the family to do, giving up their time for our comfort fund.”

Greenways Court’s Home Manager, Tina Ayton commented:

“Everyone here at Greenways Court are so grateful for all of the efforts that were put into this event.

This was such a lovely gesture and we couldn’t thank the lovely Watson family more.”
