During lockdown, all communal areas including the lounges, activities and dining rooms have under gone refurbishment at The Polegate care home, in East Sussex.
A new hairdressing salon is also being built which is almost finished. As well as a visitor pod which allows visitors to come inside the home and see loved ones behind a screen with an intercom in order to keep everyone safe.
“What a day and what a transformation,” remarked one Resident.
Residents enjoyed the hustle and bustle and chatting with the contractors and one said, “Thank you for all you do for us to give us a nice home.”
Emma-Louise Rich-Spice, Home Manager, commented, “The project has been so worth it to see the residents faces with their homely new spaces and the pod to allow visits during the pandemic.”
