Redcar care home wears pink for breast cancer charityHC-One’s St Peter’s Court care home in Redcar supported a national breast cancer charity by taking part in wear it pink day to raise vital funds and awareness on Friday 18th October.

Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, thousands of amazing people wear it pink in their communities, schools or work places for the UK's largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.

Team members wore pink to work and raised money for Breast Cancer Now, pink decorations and cakes were also displayed throughout the home. Residents commented that it was lovely to be able to raise awareness for such an important cause. 

St Peter’s Court home manager, Joleen Rayner said: “Thank you to everyone who took part and supported our wear it pink day, the money raised will be used for lifesaving research.”
