Redcar care home Residents attend local dementia-friendly danceResidents from HC-One’s Roseberry Court care home in Redcar attended a dementia-friendly dance at Redcar and Cleveland College on Tuesday 14th January.

The dementia-friendly dance is a regular event hosted by Redcar and Cleveland Council which aims to provide a safe and enjoyable space for people living with dementia to reminisce, dance and have fun.

Residents from Roseberry Court a regular attendees of the dance and were very excited when they arrived for their very first dance of the new decade. Music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s was played as Residents sang and danced to their favourite tunes, others chose to chat with some new and familiar faces.

A great time was had by all, with one Resident commenting that listening to the music and watching the big screen brought lots of happy memories flooding back.

Roseberry Court Home Manager, Alishia Calvert said: “The dementia-friendly dances are always an enjoyable experience for our Residents, thank you to Redcar and Cleveland Council for hosting another amazing event.”
