The team at Roseberry Court, who are all big admires of Fred’s artwork, were determined to help make his dream come true, so they arranged for Mackenzie Thorpe a famous artist who is originally from Middlesbrough to visit Fred at Roseberry Court while he was in the area to unveil his sculpture of the Transporter Bridge.

Mackenzie Thorpe commented: "I was amazed when I walked into Fred's room in the care home. In this room there was an incredible about of top quality art work covering his walls, with fresh art work on his easel. It was like walking into a real artist studio.

"The quality of his work was a credit to his skills as an artist, and he deserves a proper exhibition so everyone can see and appreciate Fred’s art. I am looking forward to see what he’s been working on next time I visit.”
