Redcar care home hosts coffee morning and autumnal festivalResidents, visitors and members of the team at HC-One’s Roseberry Court care home in Redcar came together on Friday 27th September for a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support followed by the home’s annual seasonal celebration, a Harvest Festival.

Tea lovers and cake connoisseurs took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Roseberry Court, everyone sampled delicious homemade cakes including, chocolate cupcakes, lemon drizzle, carrot cake, fruit and much more. 

A great time was had by all one, one Resident, Audrey commented: “I should have had another slice of the lemon drizzle cake, it was fabulous.”

Later in the day, Residents were joined by children from Sunny Days Nursery and members of St Hilda’s Church for a Harvest Service which included singing hymns and a food collection for the local foodbank. Everyone enjoyed getting involved throughout the service, Residents commented on how lovely it was to hear the children singing all of the hymns.

Roseberry Court Home Manager, Alishia Calvert said: “Thank you to everyone who attended our coffee morning and Harvest Festival, it was a lovely day from start to finish.”
