Residents and members of the care team from HC-One’s Roseberry Court care home in Redcar joined together with the local community to spread the word about Dementia Action Week.
Dementia Action Week is Alzheimer’s Society’s annual event this year from 20-26th May, with the aim of encouraging people, workplaces, schools and communities to take action and improve the lives of people living with dementia.
Roseberry Court was invited to ‘The Mighty Lunch’ at The Pavilion in Kirkleatham Hall Museum which was attended by members of the local community. Residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with live entertainment, bingo, afternoon tea and music.
The Elvis tribute was a highlight for most, but everyone commented that they enjoyed every second of the event. One Resident, Audrey, said: “What a fabulous day I’ve had, I am glad I came.”
