Ready, set go! Resident reminisce over racing gameResidents at HC-One’s Adelaide House care home in Walton-on-Thames are enjoying full throttle fun with their new Scalextric racing sets.

Adelaide House’s Scalextric sets have proven to be a big hit with Residents, Relatives and Colleagues, with Residents showing others how to use the game and having friendly races against each other. Two separate tracks are available, one is slightly easier and the other has a more complicated double loop track.

The racing game has also proven to be a great way for Residents to reminisce about happy memories from their childhood or playing games with their children.

Adelaide House Home Manager, Tracy Lazell said:

“The Scalextric is such a wonderful idea, it helps to maintain or improve physical and cognitive function, whilst being a fun activity for Residents to enjoy together or with their loved ones.”
