The baking club at HC-One’s Balfarg care home in Glenrothes enjoyed one of their regular meet ups to make a delicious batch of fairy cakes.
Residents at Balfarg enjoyed mixing the ingredients for the cupcakes together, chatting and sharing stories as they worked. Later in the day once the cupcakes were baked and cooled, everyone came together again to decorate the cakes with icing and sprinkles.
When they were finished the baking club participants shared their cupcakes with their fellow Residents, everyone commented on delicious the cakes were. One Resident, Jenny aged 98 commented that she didn’t really want to help make the cakes but she was more than happy to help eat them which brought a smile to everyone’s faces.
Balfarg Home Manager, Sharon Watson said: “The smell of cakes baking filled Balfarg, everyone seemed to enjoy sampling the end result.”
