Random acts of kindness for Adelaide HouseDuring a virtual meeting at HC-One’s Adelaide House care home, in Surrey, Home Manager Evelyn Repkovas mentioned to Area Resident Liaison Manager Debbie Twinn, that she would like a nice tea set for Residents and visitors to enjoy for when restrictions end. This will be used for regular coffee mornings as well as afternoon teas.

Debbie set about finding one and posted on a number of social networking sites, including her own local 'Nextdoor' in Fleet, Hants. She posted on the page asking if anyone was spring cleaning during lockdown and might be willing to donate their unwanted crockery to the home.

Two very kind near neighbours, Judith and Caron, responded to Debbie, who collected and delivered the tea sets to a delighted Evelyn.

One Resident admired the tea sets and recalled, “I had an Eternal Beau tea set before.”

Evelyn commented, “Thank you so much for the beautiful tea sets and we can’t wait to host coffee mornings and afternoon teas with our Residents and visitors soon.”
