Radcliffe Care Home Celebrates Independence DayResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Rose Court recently made the most of the sunshine as they held a garden party in honour of the American ‘Fourth of July’ holiday.

Fourth of July, officially known as Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States which commemorates the Declaration of Independence of the U.S.

In true American style, everyone was able to enjoy a selection of treates including hot dogs, Twinkies and brownies, as well as various American style drinks such as root beer.

American music played through out the afternoon as everyone enjoyed themselves and danced away, with Residents getting creative as they designed and coloured in pictures of American flags.

Home Manager, Karen Davies, commented: “It’s been fantastic to see the Residents having such a great time in the garden. It’s always nice to create different experiences and to give Residents’ the opportunity to try new foods and drinks.”
