Quarry Hall care home has benefitted from transformative refurbishment and upgrade programmeQuarry Hall care home in St Mellons, Cardiff, has benefitted from an exciting £550,000 refurbishment and upgrade resulting from a major investment programme launched by owners HC-One.

Residents of the 86-bed, stylish and friendly care home can enjoy sustainable, modernised and enhanced living environments – including a newly landscaped garden and full decoration of the home’s reception, corridors, lounges, and dining areas.  There has also been work carried out to create a modern hair and nail salon, a light and airy tea room, a grand cinema room and additional full refurbishment of multiple bathrooms and shower rooms.

The residential, nursing and dementia care home refurbishment forms part of HC-One’s £54.5 million refurbishment and upgrade programme. This programme will benefit 221 HC-One homes, including Quarry Hall, and forms part of HC-One’s mission to be the UK’s first choice care provider in the communities it serves.

As the largest care home refurbishment programme in the UK, HC-One is transforming its homes for the benefit of the Residents and Colleagues who live and work in them, and for the local communities they serve. The upgrades mean that every HC-One home will be equipped to meet the needs of an ageing population with increasingly complex care needs – including dementia care needs.

The works at Quarry Hall began in November 2021 and completed in April 2022– no Residents were impacted by the works.

Caroline Price, HC-One’s Area Director said:
