Pyjama day at Huddersfield care home is a fundraising successThe Oakes care home in Huddersfield raised a fantastic £200 at its pyjama party in memory of much-loved staff member Azra, who sadly passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.

Residents were delighted to join in with the cause, with many dressing up in their pyjamas to show their support to Azra’s family.

The tremendous efforts of everyone at The Oakes resulted in a fantastic £200 being raised for the family to support them through this difficult time.

One Resident commented: “This was such a kind thing to do for her family.”

Macheala Parker, Home Manager at The Oakes, said: “It was so lovely to see all of my Colleagues, Residents and our families come together at such a difficult time to help Azra’s family.

“Azra was loved by everyone in the home, so it was no surprise to see how keen people were to show their support to her family. This is exactly what being a part of the kind care company is all about.”
