Airedale care home in Pudsey showed its support for Alzheimer’s Society as Residents, Relatives and staff fundraised for the charity at National Cupcake Day.
The home was decorated in blue in recognition of Alzheimer’s Society as staff battled it out at the bake off to produce some delicious cakes and brownies, which were then available to buy for a small donation towards the charity.
Wendy, a friend of Airedale, also attended the event as she sold small gifts and jewellery.
Entertainment from Ukulele Henry went down a storm with Residents and visitors alike, as everyone sang along to some classic hits.
Residents rounded off the event with a fantastic buffet, a glass of prosecco and cupcakes.
Edna, a Resident at the home, said: “I love singing. Isn’t it lovely?”
Fellow Resident Jean said: “Thank you to all the staff for today. It has been wonderful.”
