Pride month celebrations spread joy and colour in Angus care homeResidents at HC-One’s Cairnie Lodge care home in Angus took part in this months Pride celebrations which spread joy and colour around the home.

June is pride month across the world and our Colleagues at Cairnie Lodge decided to celebrate this with Residents by creating colourful artwork and by having a photoshoot.

Residents took part in creating a lovely bright backdrop for the photoshoot, cutting out love hearts of all colours and sticking them together to create a string of love hearts. The Residents thoroughly enjoyed working with the props and it is beneficial for them to use their hands to build up and maintain muscle.

Cairnie Lodge Resident, Patrick Wallace said: “I enjoyed this very much, I loved the brightly coloured posters.”

The day was deemed successful and shed light on Pride month for Residents and staff. Some of the Residents enjoyed their photos so much that they asked for them to be printed out so they could keep them in their room.
