Residents and team members at HC-One’s Bridgewater Park care home in Scunthorpe enjoyed a fun-filled day of celebrations in honour of Pride Month.
An annual celebration each June, Pride Month is held in honour of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, which was a tipping point in the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
In the morning, Residents enjoyed some light armchair exercises followed by some games, with the highlight for most being skittles. Later in the day, a Pride-themed afternoon tea was served with a variety of delicious sandwiches, rainbow cakes and much more.
The home was beautifully decorated for the celebrations with rainbow bunting and flags, Residents had a fun-filled day and commented on how much they enjoyed their day.
Bridgewater Home Manager, Melanie Walton said: “It was lovely to celebrate Pride Month and support the LGBTQ+ community, everyone had a big smile on their face throughout the day.”
