Residents at HC-One’s Acomb Court care home in Hexham enjoyed some colourful treats and activities to help support Pride Month.
An annual celebration each June, Pride Month is held in honour of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, which was a tipping point in the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
The home’s talented kitchen team prepared a variety of rainbow themed treats for Residents while the wellbeing team arranged fun-filled activities around Pride, everyone enjoyed showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community throughout June.
Acomb Court Home Manager, Shaun Bain said: “It is so important to show love and support for everyone, that’s why we were all excited to take part in the Pride Month celebrations and wave the rainbow flag at Acomb Court.”
Located on Maidens Walk, Acomb Court care home offers short and long term care for old ladies and gentlemen that require residential care, nursing care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
