Prescot Care Home Celebrates Art in CareHC-One’s Fazakerley House Care Home recently opened its doors to celebrate the seventh annual National Care Home Open Day.

This year’s theme was ‘Celebrating Art in Care,’ with HC-One launching a national Art Competition to encourage, Residents, their loved ones, Colleagues and neighbours to unleash their creativity and design their own masterpiece. Participants could create anything from paintings, drawings, knitting, poetry, calligraphy and pottery – the choices were endless and allowed all talents to be showed-off.

Mayor of Prescot, Pat Cook, attended the home as guest of honour, as a garden party was held with live entertainment provided for all to enjoy.

Relative and friends also attended the event alongside members of the local community, as the garden was filled with pieces of arts and crafts which had been created by Residents.

Stephanie Molden, Home Manager, commented: “It’s been a lovely day in the sunshine as we celebrated Care Home Open Day. The visit from the Mayor was so special and it was lovely to see Residents interacting with everyone.”
