Colleagues and Residents at HC One’s The Sycamores care home have been creating poppy wreaths.
In honour of Remembrance Sunday, everyone at the Hyde care home have been making poppy wreaths and other arts and crafts.
The Residents chose the colours they used on their wreaths, before sticking the shapes together to produce poppies.
The Residents also wrote independently on their wreaths with phrases such as 'Remember' and 'WW1'.
The Residents enjoyed this as it’s something that means a lot to them. Each Resident was happy and proud of their makings, and the staff helped them hang them up on their bedroom doors to show their respects.
The wreaths have really brightened up the corridors being on bedroom doors.
Resident Kath Power, said "my grandfather was in the war and I always like to make something hand-made in his memory".
Other Residents enjoyed colouring templates of related Remembrance pictures which have been displayed in the window for the public to see as they walk by.
