HC-One’s Woodlands View Care Home in Poplars, near Stevenage, has been celebrating the end of summer, as it has meant the return of regular visits of students from a nearby school for children and young adults with additional needs.
Residents at Woodlands View Care Home, which provides residential, nursing and dementia care, said it was ‘lovely’ to see students from Greenside School once again.
Although during term time the students visit once a week, they do not visit during the summer holidays.
Greenside School is a general learning school for children and young adults with severe learning difficulties aged 3 - 19. The residents and students spend time together taking part in activities such as quizzes, cake decorating, singalongs and dancing.
After their most recent visit, one resident said:
“It’s lovely to see them back again.”
