HC-One’s Devon Domiciliary Care team proved that kindness knows no boundaries as they took on a very unusual client in August, when beautiful whippet Tilly came to stay.
Tilly’s owner Gillian, a client of HC-One, had sadly been admitted to hospital and was worried that no one would be available to look after her beloved pet. Tilly also had her own health concerns and would need lots of canine care, attention and love.
To Gillian’s delight, the team stepped up to the challenge and kindly offered to look after Tilly until Gillian was back on her feet. Carers Melissa and Clare went to pick Tilly up and brought her back to the office where she spent her days snoozing and being pampered before heading home with carer Melissa in the evenings.
The ladies even made sure to book Tilly in with the vet as her teeth needed looking at and made sure she went her to all of her appointments, while keeping her owner up to date on her progress.
To make her stay extra special, Carers Lilac and Charlie also decided to take Tilly out for lovely day trips and doggie play dates and even bought Tilly a brand new stuffed toy which she loves to snuggle up with.

As always I am so proud of you all but extra special thanks have to go to Melissa and her family, Lilac and Charlie. I think we are going to miss our baby girl as much as she is going to miss us.”
