HC-One’s Falstone Court care home in Roker, Sunderland welcomed some four-legged friends on Thursday 12th September during a coffee and cake afternoon.
Residents were delighted when the miniature ponies came into the home, everyone took turns giving the ponies lots of attention as they stroked their manes. Homemade cakes and hot beverages were served throughout and Residents shared stories of their favourite pets they had in their younger days.
A great time was had by all, one Resident commented: “What lovely ponies, I enjoyed being able to stroke them and find out more about their different personalities.
Falstone Court Care Manager, Julie Merritt said: “The smiles on Resident’s faces as they interacted with the ponies was truly heart-warming, thank you to Karen her wonderful ponies for making the day so memorable for everyone.”
