Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Bankwood care home held a ‘pink day’ to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The Duffield care home raised £35 today for Breast Cancer Awareness and had plenty of fun doing so too.
Staff set up different games for the Residents to take part in and photo frame to take photos in too.
There were plenty of pink cakes available for everyone to eat, as well as a special ‘booby cake’ made by the homes Chef Lisa.
One of the Residents nicknames is ‘booby man’ so he had the honour of cutting the cake to match the theme for the day.
Everything was pink for the day, even the homes skeleton which had been sat out for Halloween, was dressed up in a pink outfit, which the Residents loved.
Overall it was a great day filled with fun, all the while raising money and awareness for a very important cause.
