Having the pleasure of being able to merge our nursing and residential Residents together has been an absolute dream for
Daneside Court care home, in Northwich, so they decided to celebrate in style and host a Caribbean themed party – socially distanced of course!
Pina Colada (with or without the rum) and fresh fruit were on the menu, along with Caribbean music to sing and jig along to.
A beautiful afternoon with fun, laughter, and refreshments was had by all and everyone enjoyed the coming together (plus the weather was perfect). The event was wonderful; outside in the sunshine and meeting with their friends from within the care home.
There were plenty of positive comments with one Resident laughing, “I’ve never seen so many people come together!”
Hazel added, “I feel rejuvenated.”
Douglas said, “Are we having another party today?!”
Sharon Lelonek, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “The Residents had great fun! They loved the catch-up reuniting with friends from within our care home.”
“It was just perfect in every way, colleagues working together to help the afternoon be joyous for our Residents.”
Samantha Farahat, Home Manager, commented, “Our home is situated along the River Dane, and it was a pleasure for passers-by to wave to our Residents and even the school children joined in with a little jig expressing enjoyment and helping to bring a smile to our Residents.”
