Peterlee care homes enjoy friendly bowling competitionHC-One’s Jack Dormand Care Home enjoyed a day out with Residents from fellow Peterlee HC-One’s Grampian Court Care Home.

Donna Price, Wellbeing Coordinator at Jack Dormand, took Derek Unthank, Martin Hall and Ted Beadle on the men’s day out and David Parks, Bob Aylesbury and Julie McClurey, Wellbeing Coordinator at Grampian Court joined them.

The men soon got into the swing of it and enjoyed every minute, with David from Grampian Court winning the individual bowling and Team Jack Dormand bagging the prize for the group winner.

A celebratory lunch was in order where everyone enjoyed further getting to know their newfriends and tucking into a Toby Carvery. 

The Residents all really enjoyed meeting each other and forming new friendships.

“It was a really good day; I really enjoyed bowling and my lunch even more!”

Donna Price, Wellbeing Coordinator at Jack Dormand, commented:

“It was a great men’s day out and was lovely to meet the Grampian Court Residents. We will definitely be having another trip out together.”
