Peterlee care home celebrates second birthday in style HC-One’s Grampian Court care home in Peterlee, County Durham, has celebrated its second birthday in style with a Las Vegas-themed party.

To mark the anniversary, staff at Grampian Court organized some special entertainment for Residents and their families, which included an Elvis impersonator and a performance from his show girls.

The HC-One team even dressed up in fancy dress, with many sporting a Las Vegas-themed outfit.

The home’s two year anniversary was also celebrated with the introduction of a new experience for Residents, as Grampian Court’s very own toy shop and vintage sweet cart. Both were opened for the first time during the party, with Home Manager Kay Rudd cutting the ribbon.

One Resident commented: “It’s fantastic to see the hard work that the staff of Grampian Court have put in to help make today so special and memorable for everyone living there.”

Kay Rudd, Home Manager at Grampian Court, said: “I am delighted to have celebrated our home’s second birthday with so many of our Residents and their families, as their happiness and wellbeing is our top priority at HC-One. The party was a great success, with smiles all around as we marked the anniversary together.

“It was also a great opportunity to officially open our new toy shop and sweet cart, which have been introduced to the home as a new activity for all of our Residents to enjoy and participate in.”
