Residents at HC-One’s The Elms care home in Peterborough celebrated St Patrick’s Day throughout the whole month of April.
Throughout the month of April, Residents have enjoyed many activities relating to St Patrick's Day. The Elms friends from "Helping Whittlesey " kindly donated a large bag full of arts and crafts items which Residents have made good use of.
Residents made stained glass shamrocks to decorate the windows and coloured in pictures of anything St Patrick's Day or Irish related. Some of the residents enjoyed playing a game of how many "coins" in the Leprechauns hat with everyone having their own pile of coins.
Residents also enjoyed Irish quizzes throughout the week and lots of other games.
The Elms Home Manager Katie Coulson said: “It was lovely to hear the Resident’s laughter whilst enjoying the games. The Residents also made me a beautiful Shamrock for my window.”
Situated in the peaceful market town of Whittlesey,
The Elms is a former private home that has been extensively modernised to provide a high standard of accommodation while retaining some of its original charm and character.
