Residents at HC-One’s Coppice Court care home were delighted when they received a visit from Pet Pals recently.
The representative from the company, Nicki, brought in six chickens and one cockerel for Residents to see, and they were placed in a pen on the floor so they could have free run.
Residents were able to ask questions and find out more information about the animals, as they watched the chickens getting fed, and they each remarked on how quickly they had eaten.
Everyone was so interested in the animals as they learnt various facts and information about the chickens.
Juliet Wills, Home Manager, commented: “It’s been lovely to have the chickens visit us today. Although no Resident handled the animals, they found it so interesting.”
