Perth care home host St Andrew’s Day celebrationsResidents at HC-One’s Strathtay House Care Home in Perth flew the Scottish flag with pride as they celebrated St Andrew’s Day with the pupils from Perth Grammar School.

The home threw a Scottish celebration on Friday 30th November enabling Residents, families and the community to come together to enjoy the National day.

In true patriotic fashion, Residents and staff wore their favourite or family’s tartan including hats, kilts and scarves, whilst enjoying a traditional food throughout the day. Everyone enjoyed a performance from Entertainer Johnny Be Goode.

Judith Meaden, Home Manager at Strathtay House commented:

“It is very important for us to respect and encourage traditions and we knew a day of importance, such as this for our Scottish Residents, was worthy of a celebration.

“The celebration was enjoyable for everyone that attended and the Residents particularly enjoyed welcoming guests into their home.”
