HC One’s Victoria Mews in Coventry has started personalising zimmer frames for Residents to improve wellbeing.
Staff at Victoria Mews carried out research on personalised zimmer frames and discovered that they can prevent and reduce falls in homes. Materials were purchased and Residents were asked about what they would like to add or change about their frame.
The frames were adapted using items that match each Resident’s individual personality including their favourite colour, likes and past or present hobbies.
Everyone loves their newly personalised frame, Residents have commented that they like the bright colours and it makes it easier to identify their frame. Visitors to Victoria Mews have also commented on how nice they look.
