Pencoed care home hosts annual Summer FeteHC-One’s Glanffrwd care home in Pencoed hosted their annual Summer Fete on Saturday 11th August.

Despite poor weather, friends and family joined Residents for a day of summer celebration. The team at Glanffrwd prepared homemade cupcakes and even braved the bad weather to cook the BBQ.

Various stalls were set up and live entertainment was available with a Shirley Bassey tribute act, Irish dance group and Pencoed Brass Band all performing throughout the day.

The Worshipful Mayor of Bridgend County Council, Councillor John McCarthy and his consort Mrs McCarthy attended the Summer Fete to join in the festivities. 

Glanffrwd Home Manager, Joan Thomas said:

“Thank you to all who came to take part in our Summer Fete, especially Cllr John McCarthy. We had a wonderful day in spite of the poor weather spending time with our neighbours and watching all of the wonderful performances.”
