Residents at HC-One’s Jack Dormand Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham, always look forward to a visit from Syd the Pets as Therapy dog.
Syd visits every Thursday and makes sure that he spreads the love around by visiting every Resident in his or her room before meeting everyone in the communal lounge.
He always brings smiles to the Residents faces, who enjoy feeding him biscuits and getting plenty of cuddles.
The visit is really special for Lilly, who cried when she saw Syd as he is the double of her dog who sadly passed away. She couldn’t stop smiling throughout Syd’s visit.
Everyone really showed their soft sides during Syd’s visits and enjoyed plenty of cuddles from him, commenting:
“We love it when Syd visits; it makes us all so happy.”
