Pat Dog Poppy is the perfect therapy at Hartford Court
Poppy, a beautiful golden Labrador, (from WAG) visited Hartford Court Care Home.
Poppy lives with Mark, who also joined us, along with Mark’s carer John.

Residents often look forward to their regular visits, as many of the Residents had pet dogs throughout the years. This always prompts reminiscence and stories of happy times with their beloved dogs.

It also provides a tactile experience as many Residents like to fuss over Poppy and stroke or pat her. The homes Colleagues love to see their smiling faces as she greets them warmly wagging her tail and nuzzling in.

Poppy was also happy to visit the Day Centre and make friends with everyone there.  Residents also enjoy chatting to Mark and John and asking about Poppy’s age, likes and dislikes.

“Poppy is so friendly, it’s a joy to see her.  She is so friendly and loves people.”
