Party for Rose Court Colleague who retires after three decadesResidents at Rose Court care home, in Radcliffe, Manchester, decided that after a much-loved Colleague decided to retire, they would like to throw her a party.

Mary Ann (pictured with Colleagues at a previous celebration) has worked at the 87-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home for almost 30 years and retired on the 31st January. Residents asked Colleagues if we could celebrate this milestone and wanted to throw her a party.

A delicious buffet was made by the home’s chef Kyle, and the kitchen team, which went down a hit with all in attendance.

Although Mary Ann is retiring, she is still dedicated to Rose Court and has continued to stay on as a bank Colleague.

Allison Porter, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “In total, we have 552 years 5 months and 16 days of Colleague dedication at Rose Court with Mary Ann being one of our longest standing employees. The staff at Rose Court are like one big family and it was a pleasure to share Mary Ann's day.”
“It was a very sad day to lose a valued member on staff and thank you for all the years service. Happy retirement Mary Ann you will be missed.”
