A routine callout to Shelton Lock Care Home in Derbyshire took a heartwarming turn this week when paramedics, after ensuring the safety of a resident, were treated to a relaxing coffee break with some sweet treats.
The paramedic crew responded to a call regarding a resident at the home and, after ensuring that the individual was stable and well, they were invited to sit down with staff for a well-deserved coffee and biscuits. The crew also got a special surprise when they met Wally, the home’s beloved cat, who seemed eager to offer some comfort after the busy callout.

Before leaving, the paramedics were gifted with a tub of sweets as a thank you for their hard work. It’s clear that the small moments of kindness go a long way in brightening the day of everyone involved, and the crew left with smiles, having made sure the resident was in good hands.
