Paramedics Enjoy Coffee and Cat Cuddles at Shelton Lock Care Home, DerbyshireA routine callout to Shelton Lock Care Home in Derbyshire took a heartwarming turn this week when paramedics, after ensuring the safety of a resident, were treated to a relaxing coffee break with some sweet treats.

The paramedic crew responded to a call regarding a resident at the home and, after ensuring that the individual was stable and well, they were invited to sit down with staff for a well-deserved coffee and biscuits. The crew also got a special surprise when they met Wally, the home’s beloved cat, who seemed eager to offer some comfort after the busy callout.

Nicola Millar, Home Manager at Shelton Lock care home said:
“They’ said they are just doing their job, but what an important job that is! We wanted to take the time to thank them for all their hard work and dedication”

Before leaving, the paramedics were gifted with a tub of sweets as a thank you for their hard work. It’s clear that the small moments of kindness go a long way in brightening the day of everyone involved, and the crew left with smiles, having made sure the resident was in good hands.

Wally, meanwhile, seemed to enjoy the attention, no doubt winning over a few more fans that afternoon.
